KUTNIA is based in the town of Gaziantep in Eastern Turkey, situated along the historic trade path of the Silk Road. KUTNIA brand has strong roots derived from the traditional Kutnu fabric which was first created in the 16th century, synonymous with its stripe and sheen.

Founded and owned by AJK Textile in 2017 with 5 looms, Kutnia Crafted Fabrics, today, has a capacity of weaving 2000 meters of fabric per month with 12 hand looms, 1 Kutnu sampling hand loom 50 cm width, 1 warping machine, 1 traditional warping machine, and 2 winding machines. 70% of production is done by hand in our factory dedicated to the origins of the Kutnu fabric itself.

KUTNİA Crafted Fabrics has successfully revived the ancient art of weaving kutnu fabric - creating contemporary artisanal fabrics inspired by the heritage of Kutnu and the unique artistry of eastern Türkiye.
GAZİANTEP has been the traditional home of Kutnu for centuries, but the special skills required to hand weave this precious fabric had declined to the point of extinction before the arrival of KUTNİA Crafted Fabrics.
